On July 12, a Port Charlotte post office will be officially named after the late Navy Lt. Cmdr. Roy H. Boehm.
Boehm was the first officer in charge of SEAL Team 2, one of two original Navy SEAL Teams commissioned by President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Many would say Boehm was the first SEAL.
